Scientific conference \u201cEmigration heritage in Lithuania\u201d took place in Emigration Institute of the Vytautas Magnus University on 18 November, 2011. Main identification, accumulation, storage, handling, publicity problems, related with Lithuanian emigration heritage, were discussed. Representatives of archives, museums, libraries, research institutes presented emigration heritage, stored in their institutions, identified problems, proposed solutions in order to collect and deliver to the public emigration documentary heritage.<\/p>\n
Head of Rare Book and Manuscript Department Jolita Steponaitien\u0117 delivered presentation \u201cEmigration manuscript heritage in the Martynas Ma\u017evydas National Library of Lithuania\u201d. Emigration manuscript heritage, stored in the Library, traditions of its storage, handling and dissemination were analyzed.\u00a0 Head of Lituanica Department Jolanta Budri\u016bnien\u0117 in her report \u201cFeminine dimension of the Lozoraitis library collection\u201d presented part of the Lozoraitis library collection (set of prints of Vincenta Lozoraitien\u0117, emphasizing rarity and uniqueness of its components as well as their importance in exposing personality of V. Lozoraitien\u0117 and her diverse activity).<\/p>\n
