\"Cidzikaite-GiedriausOn December 2014, the Lithuanian-American Community, Inc.<\/strong> appointed dr. Dalia Cidzikait\u0117<\/strong>, a senior researcher at Lituanica Department of the National Library of Lithuania, as its new representative in Lithuania.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Among other things, Ms. Cidzikait\u0117s\u2019 activities will include representing LAC at various events, meeting with the LAC members visiting Lithuania, and communicating with the Lithuanian media. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In the last<\/span><\/span> days of December, the new LAC representative in Lithuania already attended two<\/span><\/span> events. Together with the LAC Board<\/span><\/span> treasurer<\/span><\/span>, <\/span><\/span>Juozas<\/span><\/span> Kazlauskas,<\/span><\/span> and the<\/span><\/span> LAC <\/span><\/span>Lithuanian<\/span><\/span> International Student Services Committee<\/span><\/span> member,<\/span><\/span> Julius<\/span><\/span> Medutis,<\/span><\/span> Ms. Cidzikait\u0117 <\/span><\/span>visited<\/span><\/span> the Presidential Palace<\/span><\/span> and<\/span><\/span> delivered an invitation to<\/span><\/span> the President to The<\/span><\/span> Lithuanian S<\/span><\/span>ong Festival<\/span><\/span> which will take place <\/span><\/span>in Chicago in July. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

On<\/span><\/span> December 30, Ms. Cidzikait\u0117 attended the ceremony of <\/span><\/span>Global Lithuanian Awards<\/i><\/span><\/span>, where<\/span><\/span> the most outstanding<\/span><\/span> Lithuanian<\/span><\/span> scientists<\/span><\/span>, entrepreneurs, artists, and public figures <\/span><\/span>living abroad<\/span><\/span> were recognized <\/span><\/span>by <\/span><\/span>Global<\/i><\/span><\/span> <\/i>Lithuanian Leaders<\/i><\/span><\/span> for their <\/span><\/span>accomplishments, achievements, innovation<\/span><\/span>s, and for helping <\/span><\/span>to shape<\/span><\/span> a positive<\/span><\/span> image of Lithuania in the world.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
