The goal of the conference was to explore\nand discus the religious history and contemporary processes of the Catholic Church,\nreligious communities (such as Jews, Muslims, Catholics, Lutherans and Orthodox),\nmigration, and diasporas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Researchers from various research fields: religion, theology, history, political\nscience, sociology, cultural science, public communication, and art history\nrepresenting different countries (Belarus, Finland, Hungary, Holland, US and\nLithuania) gathered to the conference. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two researchers from the Adolfas Damu\u0161is Democracy Studies Center of National\nLibrary of Lithuania participated in the conference. Dr<strong>. Ilona Strumickien\u0117<\/strong>, director of the Center, in her presentation \u201cReturning\nMigrants and Their Influence on Lithuania\u2019s Social and Religious Life\u201d talked\nabout re-emigration processes and the religious influences and expressions brought\nback by re-emigrants.
