Entitled\n\u201c30 Stories for 30 Years: The Experiences of Returning Immigrants and Their\nContribution to the Strengthening of Lithuanian Statehood\u201d the project draws\nattention to those who have returned from emigration, emphasizing the motives\nof both emigration and re-emigration, peoples\u2019 experiences, successes, and\nfailures. The story of American Lithuanians, <strong>Adolfas <\/strong>and <strong>Jadvyga Damu\u0161is<\/strong>,\nwho returned to Lithuania in 1997, also played a role in choosing this\nparticular topic for the new project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To preserve the\nmemory of emigrants and their experiences, the implementers of the project plan\nto conduct a series of interviews with Lithuanians who returned to Lithuania and\nwho contributed to different spheres of life in Lithuania.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Adolfas Damu\u0161is Democracy Studies Centre of the National Library of Lithuania started implementing a new project which main focus is Lithuanian re-emigration.
