On this occasion, the National Library of Lithuania invited Nijol\u0117\u2019s friends and all those interested to an evening to  commemorate this anniversary. The event featured a presentation of the book \u201cApie anuos nepamir\u0161tamus laikus: Juozo Luk\u0161os-Daumanto ir Nijol\u0117s Bra\u017e\u0117nait\u0117s susira\u0161in\u0117jimas\u201d (About Those Unforgettable Times: The Correspondence between Juozas Luk\u0161a- Daumantas and Nijol\u0117 Bra\u017e\u0117nait\u0117) compiled by <strong>Laima Vinc\u0117<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the event, the author of the book handed over a valuable gift to the Library\u2014letters written by Bra\u017e\u0117nait\u0117 to <strong>Juozas Luk\u0161a-Daumantas<\/strong>, which testify not only to the romantic love story of the two young people but also to the great sacrifice they made in the name of their homeland, Lithuania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On July 18, the formal handing over of the letters and the signing of the documents occurred.
